Some Quick Information On This Product

MaxiNutrition, formerly known as MaxiMuscle are a sports nutrition brand owned by pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKlein (aka. GSK). This product is the brands flagship fat burner supplement and sits within their ‘Lean Definition’ product range along side other weight loss products like CLA-1000.

The directions for Thermobol are to take three tablets, spread evenly throughout the day. MaxiNutrition describe Thermobol as a product that “provides the energising effects of caffeine with specific vitamins and chromium to support your training goals” – that short write-up certainly makes Thermobol sound little underwhelming. Users of fat burners don’t exactly buy these expensive products just to supplement a bit of caffeine and vitamins into their diet.. you could just have a strong up of coffee and a multi-vitamin tablet. The rather lacklustre description of Thermobol by MaxiNutrition begs the question “is this even a bonafide fat burner?”.

As always, we started our Thermobol review by looking at the formula. Immediately it became obvious that this product is rather under-dosed when compared to the fat burners on our top 10 recommended list – inside we found lots of stimulants like Caffeine, Green Tea and Bitter Orange Peel. What’s more we could find no scientifically proven ingredients inside this formula, meaning you shouldn’t expect miracles from this product.

Is Thermobol A Good Product To Help Me Lose Weight?

We do not believe this is a good product for weight loss; The formula is just completely lacking any scientifically proven fat burning  ingredients, essentially all we have here is a tablet full of stimulants – with this comes some potent side-effects for some users. In defence of Thermobol, MaxiNutrition never actually claimed this was a fat burner (although it is heavily implied in the name and marketing).

This product should really just be treated as any energy supplement, rather than a fully dedicated weight loss product – it will be perfect for boosting your energy in the gym and will be an ideal product to take prior to cardio sessions. For absolute clarity, this product will not burn your body fat away, it will not boost your metabolism and it will not suppress your appetite; If that is what you were expecting you will need to look elsewhere.

On a positive note, this product does contain chromium, which is an excellent ingredient of that helps contribute to normal micronutrient metabolism.

What Are The Thermobol Ingredients?

We have found the following ingredient information via the Holland and Barrett Website:

Bitter orange peel powder, L-tyrosine, caffeine anhydrous, maltodextrin, bulking agents (cellulose, calciumanhydrous, maltodextrin, bulking agents (cellulose, calcium phosphates), green tea powder extract, glazing agents (hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, polydextrose, talc), medium chain triglycerides, chromium picolinate, anti-caking agents (magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide), guarana seed powder, B vitamins (pantothenic acid, thiamin, vitamin B12, biotin), cayenne powder extract, colour (titanium dioxide).

As we can see there is nothing but stimulants inside this formula, With the exception of a couple of B vitamins and Chromium.

What Are The Thermobol Side Effects?

We have found the following potential side effects to this product:

Headache, nervousness, sleep problems, vomiting, diarrhoea, irritability, irregular heartbeat, tremor, heartburn, dizziness, ringing in the ears, convulsions, and confusion. [1]

Stomach irritation and upset, sweating, flushing, and runny nose. [2]

These ingredients are possible but may not be typical.

What does Thermobol claim to do?

Manufacturers do not really claimed this product does anything. As stated above the write up for this product is rather lacklustre – Thermobol is simply described as a supplement that helps provide users energy, along with vitamins in chromium. Our Thermobol review team have stated that it is not uncommon for manufacturers to ‘undersell’ their products in the official product descriptions – it’s a liability safety net. If this product doesn’t make you lose weight you cannot complain because MaxiNutrition never actually said it would!

Are There Any Reviews From Customers?

We have found the following Thermobol review testimonials from customers online:

These tablets had me running for the toilet every 20 minutes. Probably all the cayenne pepper inside them doing a number on me. Ended up throwing them away, just couldn’t stomach them.

Thermobol was alright at the beginning but after my body had gotten used to them they didn’t work as well. The massive energy boosts stopped after about 10 days and after the 30 day course i hadn’t really lost that much weight (bare in mind I was doing 30 minutes of cardio per day and had reduced my daily calorie count down by 500).

Where Can I Buy This Product?

You can buy this product from the official MaxiNutrition homepage, it is also available in store at Holland and Barrett.

Our Conclusion.

To conclude our Thermobol review, we do not recommend this product. The main issue we have with this product is the complete lack of proven ingredients; If you’re buying this product you are more than likely buying it to lose weight, unfortunately the formula of this product is not suited to deliver such results. This product is great if you’re just looking for an energy boost.. but most people buying weight loss products aren’t just looking for an energy boost!

As shown in the section above there are many customers who didn’t really have good things to say about this product, with negative side effects being the main problem reported. When it comes to tablets rammed full of stimulants, you’re going to get some pretty bad side-effects that may leave you dashing for the toilet at any second!

The final issue we have with this product is the pricetag; it’s priced at £29.99 per 90 tablet bottle, meaning it’s one of the more expensive products out there. We personally believe there are better products to be had for your money. If you’re looking for a great fat burner, we recommend you check out our top rated product Thermaxin.
