Protein Works Red Cell Review
Budget protein powder manufacturer “The Protein Works” has just recently released their latest fat burner pill. Could this cool looking product be the answer to rapid weight loss? In this Protein Works Red Cell review, we’re taking an in-depth look into this product to see whether it’s something that really can deliver users great results.
Let’s take a look at the top level pros and cons of this product:
Some Quick Information On This Product
Budget protein brand The Protein Works are no stranger to producing weight loss products, in fact they product just about every generic weight loss substance available (CLA, green tea etc.); Now it seems they’ve finally produced a fully-dedicated fat burner formula that’s being marketed as something other than a bulk ingredient – their latest product Red Cell is actually in one of the coolest looking capsules we’ve ever seen.
The product is a capsule-within-a-capsule! The outside capsule contains 450mg of CLA, inside that is another capsule that contains the rest of the ingredients. Once you take the pill, your body will burn through and start absorbing the CLA first, once that’s gone the rest of the pill will start dissolving.. it doesn’t really make the product anymore effective but at least it’s a cool little trick!
TPW direct that users should take three capsules per day, meaning one 90 capsule pack will last users exactly 30 days – this is the minimum amount of time recommended to use a fat burner for. A large pack is also available.
Is Protein Works Red Cell A Good Product To Help Me Lose Weight?
We do not believe this is a good product for weight loss success; As with any product, we started our Protein Works Red Cell review by looking at the ingredients. Immediately we noticed that the formula is completely lacking in any ingredients that are scientifically proven to contribute towards weight loss. As we researched further into the Red Cell fat burner we found the formula was completely under-dosed to the point of almost-ineffectiveness – for example: each capsule only contains a mere 70mg of caffeine.
This product may be a decent product to use if you’re just looking for an energy lift, but that’s about all it’s good for. While the product comes with some sleek marketing, Red Cell is not a miracle pill. Protein Works haven’t created something that you can just take, sit on the couch and wait for your body fat to melt away.. you’re going to have to work hard in the gym and perfect your diet if you want to see any weight loss results whilst using this product.
What Are The Protein Works Red Cell Ingredients?
We have found the following ingredient information via TPW website:
Outer Capsule = (Conjugated Linoleic Acid, Clear Hard Gelatin Capsule)
Inner Capsule = (Citrus Aurantium, Caffeine, Red Capsule (Gelatine, Titanium Oxide, Yellow Iron Oxide, Red Iron Oxide, Carmoisine, Cayenne Extract 8:1, L-Phenylalanine, Green Coffee Extract 20:1, 20% Chlorogenic Acid, Bioperine, Vitamin B6, Chromium Picolinate)
Active ingredients per capsule: Cayenne Extract 36.5mg, L-Phenylalanine 8mg, Green Coffee Extract 20:1 3.5mg, Bioperine 1.5mg, Vitamin B6 0.2mg, Chromium Picolinate 21µg, CLA 450mg, Citrus Aurantium 100mg, Caffeine 70mg.
Our Protein Works Red Cell review team have stated that these ingredient amounts are very under-dosed compared to our leading diet pill.
What Are The Protein Works Red Cell Side Effects?
We have found the following side effect information from publicly available sources:
Bitter orange (Citrus Aurantium), particularly when taken with stimulants such as caffeine or caffeine-containing herbs, increases the risk for high blood pressure, fainting, heart attack, stroke, and other severe side effects.
Caffeine can cause insomnia, nervousness and restlessness, stomach irritation, nausea and vomiting, increased heart rate and respiration, and other side effects.
CLA might cause side effects such as stomach upset, diarrhoea, nausea, and fatigue.
These side effects are possible but may not be typical.
What does Protein Works Red Cell claim to do?
Protein Works makes the following claims:
- High Strength Thermogenic
- Break through dual release system
- Premium cutting edge ingredients
Let’s break these claims down a little bit further..
Statement 1 is in reference the to thermogenic ingredient Citrus Aurantium – this ingredient has been banned within supplement usage since 2012 (source). As TPW are a reputable company, we can only assume that they’re using bitter orange fruit rather than Citrus Aurantium Extract.. If they’re not then shame on them!
Statement 2 is referring to their coated capsules. The outer layer of a Red Cell capsule is coated with CLA, inside that CLA capsule are the rest of the product’s ingredients. The “dual release” is probably implying your body needs to burn through the CLA first before it gets to the other ingredients – is there any benefit to having this product work as a dual release? No, it’s rather gimmicky at best.. but it looks cool.
Statement 3 is a little bit misleading. The ingredients used inside this product aren’t exactly cutting edge, in fact they’re basically the same as every other supplement; Do not be mislead into thinking this weight loss formula uses more advanced ingredients than other products.
Are There Any Reviews From Customers?
We have found the following Protein Works Red Cell review testimonials:
These are decent. Definitely not the strongest product i’ve ever used but they do give you a decent energy boost.
Didn’t work for me at all. They’re hard to swallow, give you a nasty after taste and ultimately they didn’t make me lose any weight. Wouldn’t recommend these diet pills there are much better ones available.
I’ve been taking these since they came out, another great fat loss product from The Protein Works
Where Can I Buy This Product?
You can buy this product from the official Protein Works website. As far as we know it is not available in stores.
To conclude our Protein Works Red Cell review, we do not recommend this product. While it’s probably one of the coolest looking products out there, with it’s dual-release capsules, it’s actually not that great. The formula doesn’t contain any proven fat burning ingredients and the ingredients that are inside this product are really minimally dosed. This product also carries some potentially bad side effects, which will immediately make it unsuitable for certain people.
If you’re looking for a great fat burning pill we recommend you check out our top rated product Thermaxin.
