Yokebe is being heavily-marketed as a health diet shake that will deliver weight loss to its users. In this Yokebe review we’re taking an in-depth look at this product to see if it really is a good weight loss option.
Let’s take a look at the top level pros and cons of this product:
Some Quick Information On This Product
Yokebe is a diet shake being promoted all over the internet and TV. Manufacturers Omega Pharma imply that this product is a healthy and easy way to lose weight – users simply replace their meals with the shakes and they’ll inevitably lose weight in the long run.
At it’s core, Yokebe is literally just a protein shake – it’s a blend of Soya, Whey protein and simple carbohydrates with some additional vitamins and minerals added for general health purposes (presumably if you only consumed Yokebe you’d be lacking in these if Omega Pharma didn’t add them in).
While Yokebe will be a decent way to lose weight if you make sure you only consume the shakes for meals and never stray from that schedule, it’s not the best weight loss shake we’ve ever seen. Our Yokebe review team have stated that the majority of people will find it very difficult to stick to a shake-only diet, especially when the product doesn’t contain any active appetite-suppressing ingredients.
We think Yokebe lacks real innovation – let us elaborate on that statement.
As stated earlier, the formula is literally just a protein shake + vitamins/minerals. There are no fat burning ingredients inside, no appetite suppressant ingredients and no stimulant-based ingredients to boost energy and reduce diet-fatigue (which is the lack of energy you get when you dramatically reduce your calaries). We believe users of Yokebe will probably find themselves in a constant battle against hunger and lacking in energy overall.
Is Yokebe A Good Product To Help Me Lose Weight?
If you’re going to stick to consuming three Yokebe shakes per day and literally nothing else, then yes you’ll lose weight using Yokebe – mainly because those 3 shakes only add up to 813 calories. This puts you at an extreme caloric deficit which will of course cause you to gradually lose weight over a period of time.
Our Yokebe review team have stated that the downside to this product is that there’s nothing inside the formula that actively burns fat, so this product isn’t exactly “speeding up” the fat burning process. Also, the shake has nothing inside that will suppress your appetite to any great degree – you’ll probably find yourself hungry and battling the urge to eat more quite frequently.
Also, we think that users will probably regain most of the weight they lose with Yokebe when they stop using the product.
What Are The Yokebe Ingredients?
Yokebe contains the following:
Protein and Carb Blend – consists of soy protein isolate (41.2%), whey protein concentrate (20.0%), maltodextrin (17.0%) and honey (15.3%)
Other ingredients – flavouring vanilla, calcium phosphate, potassium phosphate, anti-caking agent silicon dioxide, L-ascorbic acid, vegetable oil (palm oil), beta-carotene, ferric phosphate, nicotinamide, DL-alpha-tocopherol, zinc gluconate, calcium-D-pantothenate, manganese gluconate, cupric gluconate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, retinyl acetate, pteroylmonoglutamic acid, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, D-biotin, cholecalciferol, cyanocobalamin.
While Yokebe is a reasonably simply formulation, it would have been good to have seen a higher percentage of whey protein when compared to soy.
What Are The Yokebe Side Effects?
While you’re unlikely to experience any adverse side effects using Yokebe, potential side effects can be:
an increase in bowel movements, feeling nauseous, increased thirst, bloating and cramps, tiredness (fatigue) and headaches (source, WebMD).
What does Yokebe claim to do?
While the Yokebe marketing implies losing weight is as simple as consuming a couple of shakes per day, the official claim they make is:
“Substituting two daily meals of an energy-restricted diet with meal replacements contributes to weight loss.”

Where Can I Buy This Product?
Yokebe is available at Boots, Superdrug, Asda and Amazon.
To conclude our Yokebe review, While it’s not a terrible product, it’s not an amazing product either. Users won’t really experience any miracle weight loss using Yokebe – it’s just an easy meal alternate for keeping track of calories consumed per day.
For what it is, we believe that Yokebe is quite expensive, especially when it doesn’t really have an impressive formula (typically we like to see weight loss shakes rammed full of fat burning and appetite suppressing ingredients). Users of this product should be prepared to completely rethink the way they eat, as they’ll have to stick to drinking three shakes per day and nothing else for the best results. For most, this will be a difficult task, especially if you’re used to snacking.
