Some Quick Information On This Product

Yokebe is a diet shake being promoted all over the internet and TV. Manufacturers Omega Pharma imply that this product is a healthy and easy way to lose weight – users simply replace their meals with the shakes and they’ll inevitably lose weight in the long run.

At it’s core, Yokebe is literally just a protein shake – it’s a blend of Soya, Whey protein and simple carbohydrates with some additional vitamins and minerals added for general health purposes (presumably if you only consumed Yokebe you’d be lacking in these if Omega Pharma didn’t add them in).

While Yokebe will be a decent way to lose weight if you make sure you only consume the shakes for meals and never stray from that schedule, it’s not the best weight loss shake we’ve ever seen. Our Yokebe review team have stated that the majority of people will find it very difficult to stick to a shake-only diet, especially when the product doesn’t contain any active appetite-suppressing ingredients.

We think Yokebe lacks real innovation – let us elaborate on that statement.

As stated earlier, the formula is literally just a protein shake + vitamins/minerals. There are no fat burning ingredients inside, no appetite suppressant ingredients and no stimulant-based ingredients to boost energy and reduce diet-fatigue (which is the lack of energy you get when you dramatically reduce your calaries). We believe users of Yokebe will probably find themselves in a constant battle against hunger and lacking in energy overall.

Is Yokebe A Good Product To Help Me Lose Weight?

If you’re going to stick to consuming three Yokebe shakes per day and literally nothing else, then yes you’ll lose weight using Yokebe – mainly because those 3 shakes only add up to 813 calories. This puts you at an extreme caloric deficit which will of course cause you to gradually lose weight over a period of time.

Our Yokebe review team have stated that the downside to this product is that there’s nothing inside the formula that actively burns fat, so this product isn’t exactly “speeding up” the fat burning process. Also, the shake has nothing inside that will suppress your appetite to any great degree – you’ll probably find yourself hungry and battling the urge to eat more quite frequently.

Also, we think that users will probably regain most of the weight they lose with Yokebe when they stop using the product.

What Are The Yokebe Ingredients?

Yokebe contains the following:

Protein and Carb Blend – consists of soy protein isolate (41.2%), whey protein concentrate (20.0%), maltodextrin (17.0%) and honey (15.3%)

Other ingredients – flavouring vanilla, calcium phosphate, potassium phosphate, anti-caking agent silicon dioxide, L-ascorbic acid, vegetable oil (palm oil), beta-carotene, ferric phosphate, nicotinamide, DL-alpha-tocopherol, zinc gluconate, calcium-D-pantothenate, manganese gluconate, cupric gluconate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, retinyl acetate, pteroylmonoglutamic acid, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, D-biotin, cholecalciferol, cyanocobalamin.

While Yokebe is a reasonably simply formulation, it would have been good to have seen a higher percentage of whey protein when compared to soy.

What Are The Yokebe Side Effects?

While you’re unlikely to experience any adverse side effects using Yokebe, potential side effects can be:

an increase in bowel movements, feeling nauseous, increased thirst, bloating and cramps, tiredness (fatigue) and headaches (source, WebMD).

What does Yokebe claim to do?

While the Yokebe marketing implies losing weight is as simple as consuming a couple of shakes per day, the official claim they make is:

“Substituting two daily meals of an energy-restricted diet with meal replacements contributes to weight loss.”

Yokebe vs Slim Fast, Which Is Better?

When it comes to comparing Yokebe against Slim Fast Shakes, we found that both products are pretty much identical. The concept of both shakes is the same; Users will replace meals with the shakes in order to reduce their daily calorie intake, thus causing gradual weight loss. The formulas may differ ever so slightly, but they’re basically just well-branded protein shakes with added vitamins and minerals – the only thing separating these shakes in reality is clever marketing.

Frankly we wouldn’t recommend either of them for someone who is looking for some serious weight loss results quickly; This is because neither product contains any fat burning, metabolism boosting or appetite suppressing ingredients (like we see in our #1 rated weight loss shake, Burner Shake).

Are There Any Reviews From Customers?

We have found the following positive and negative yokebe review testimonials on Amazon:

WARNING THERE IS FAR TO MUCH protein in these shakes… they can damage your kidneys and liver.. I’M healthy with no underline health issues , I had a urine test after taking these for 14 days , my blood cell count in my urine went from 235 in the first week to over a 1000 within a week it should be 35!! I stopped using the shakes had another test a week later and the blood cells were back down to 75.. AVOID 0/10

Where Can I Buy This Product?

Yokebe is available at Boots, Superdrug, Asda and Amazon.

Our Conclusion.

To conclude our Yokebe review, While it’s not a terrible product, it’s not an amazing product either. Users won’t really experience any miracle weight loss using Yokebe – it’s just an easy meal alternate for keeping track of calories consumed per day.

For what it is, we believe that Yokebe is quite expensive, especially when it doesn’t really have an impressive formula (typically we like to see weight loss shakes rammed full of fat burning and appetite suppressing ingredients). Users of this product should be prepared to completely rethink the way they eat, as they’ll have to stick to drinking three shakes per day and nothing else for the best results. For most, this will be a difficult task, especially if you’re used to snacking.

If you’re looking for a great weight loss shake, we recommend you check out our best rated product Burner Shake.
