Exante Diet Shakes Review

Exante Diet is a popular brand of diet shakes that has been getting a lot of hype lately. Meal replacement diets are now more popular than ever, in this Exante shakes review we’re looking at whether this product is worth your money.

Let’s take a look at the top level pros and cons of this product:

Exante Diet Shakes Benefits:

  • Plenty of flavours to choose from
  • Good nutritional stats
  • Produced by a reputable company
Exante Diet Shakes Drawbacks:

  • Not very innovative in terms of weight loss ingredients
  • Sticking to a liquid shake-only diet may be difficult for most people
  • Also requires you to stick to a set diet plan
  • Quite expensive per serving
  • Not the prettiest product we’ve ever seen (just FYI incase you were planning on “instagraming” your purchase!)

Some Quick Information On This Product

Exante is a meal replacement and weight loss shake produced by the Hut group – the same company that owns the giant sports nutrition company, Myprotein. The whole concept of Exante shakes is that users will literally switch their meals with the Exante diet shakes in order to significantly lower their daily caloric-intake, which in time results in weight loss.

Exante shakes are nothing groundbreaking so-to-speak; they’re simply cleverly-branded protein shakes with additional vitamins and minerals added. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, however our Exante shakes review team have stated that they cannot see any real innovation that has gone into this product. While the concept of meal replacements is genuinely a good way to lose weight, it’s only effective if you can stick to them and follow the diet plans that Exante set on their homepage.

If you happen to be overweight, and also have a tendency to overeat/snack (which, let’s be honest here, is a lot of us!) then diving head first into a “3-liquid-shakes-per-day” diet is probably not the best option to lose weight as it can be very difficult to stick to. Also, when you finally stop the daily shakes you may find the weight comes right back as you continue to fall back into your old eating habits.

There are a whole host of ingredients that we’d like to see inside Exante that simply aren’t there – for example, appetite suppressing ingredients and metabolism boosting ingredients.

The most important thing to say here is that Exante will not “speed up” your weight loss, the shakes will simply allow you to naturally lose weight at your body’s own pace (due to the lowered amount of calories you’ll be consuming).

Is Exante A Good Product To Help Me Lose Weight?

If you have an iron will, won’t stray from the shakes and are willing to religiously following the Exante diet plans then yes this product will help you lose weight.

Unfortunately for most of us, the above is very difficult to stick to. We personally feel that even if you did stick to this product during your diet, you’d probably see the weight return once you moved back onto normal food.

Users of Exante will probably find themselves in a battle with hunger a lot, especially if you’re used to overeating. Sadly this product doesn’t contain any real appetite suppressing ingredients, nor does it contain anything to boost your metabolism (which helps burn more calories). It’s this lack of innovative formula that makes our Exante shakes review team believe this product probably would produce great results for certain people.

What Are The Exante Shake Ingredients?

Each shake contains the following ingredients.

Skimmed Milk Powder (42%), Vegetable Fat Concentrate (Refined Soybean Oil, Maltodextrin, Milk Proteins, Emulsifier (Soy Lecithins), Antioxidant (Fatty Acid Esters of Ascorbic Acid, Alpha-Tocopherol)), Whey Protein Concentrate (Milk), Soy Protein, Vegetable Creamer Concentrate (Refined Coconut Oil, Whey Powder (Milk), Milk Protein, Stabilizer (Triphosphates Acetylated Oxidised Starch), Free Flowing Agent (Tricalcium Phosphate)), Maltodextrin, Inulin, Potassium Citrate, Natural Flavouring, Emulsifiers (Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum), Colour (Beetroot), DI Potassium Phosphate, Salt, Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Oxide, Vitamin Premix (Biotin, Chromium, Copper, Fluoride, Folic Acid, Iodine, Iron, Manganese, Molybdenum, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Selenium, Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K1 And Zinc), Sweetener (Sucralose). Note: ingredients can differ slightly per flavour.

As we stated earlier, Exante really is just a protein shake with added vitamins. Yes those are the same shakes you can get in your local bodybuilding shops. In these ingredients we can see a blend of several different protein powders such as Whey protein concentrate, Soy protein and skimmed milk powder.

What Are The Exante Side Effects?

It is unlikely that you’ll experience any serious negative side effects while using Exante. The potential side effects can be:

Increase in bowel movement frequency, nausea, increased thirst, bloating and cramps, tiredness (fatigue) and headaches (source, WebMD).

Are There Any Reviews From Customers?

We have found the following Exante shakes review testimonials via Trustpilot:

Delicious shakes. Poor delivery.

I’ve placed just the two orders with exante – I ordered 7 shakes and 7 carbanaras. I just wish I’d have read the reviews before purchasing as the carbanara tastes awful. I only received 5 out of the 7 shakes, however exante did correct it and refund me the other two. They never offered me to send the disgusting packets of carbanara back though.

On my second order, I ordered 6x strawberry, 6x banana and 6x cherries and berries. Although I got more strawberry as one of the bannana packers turned out to be strawberry. It also told me I’d get a free sachet of Thai curry, never received this.

I then asked exante if they price match with groupon (as they advertise over 70% off online), the reply I got from a male called Kieran wasn’t even English or readable “There offered does it refer to our site? Thanks, Kieran”

In the end, after waiting 48 hours for Kieran to reply (and I’m still no further), I decided to order through groupon. The service is good, the shakes are good. Just be prepared to receive either less than you ordered or the wrong order!

Excellent company to deal with

Excellent company to deal with, great products

While the reviews are typically positive, we still believe that there are more cutting edge products available.

Where Can I Buy This Product?

This product is only available online through the official company website.

Our Conclusion.

To conclude our Exante shakes review, the product is decent but not mind-blowing. It’s simply a low calorie alternate to a meal. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that consuming less calories overall will result in weight loss – if you go on the exante diet and stick to it religiously you’ll lose some weight (you may see the weight return once you stop the shakes however).

The exante formula leaves a lot to be desired. There are no real metabolism boosting ingredients or appetite suppressing ingredients to speak of, meaning users may experience low energy and a rampant appetite.
