This product is indeed a scam. They must pay people to write all the great reviews all over that you see because let me tell you this has been a nightmare.

This obviously is not a lot of time to try the product and supposedly send it back.. but anyway.
4. By 04/07/2010 I had GAINED 3 pounds.

6. No one answered. Left message.

I believe that Avesil is not a reputable company and I believe they engage in deceptive sales practices. Avesil calculates your 14 day trial period beginning on the date you placed your order or the date they processed your order…NOT THE DAY YOU RECEIVE IT. So, in reality, you do not have 14 days to try the product. You have more like 11 or 12 days to try Avesil. That’s the GOTCHA!
I ordered Avesil and began what I thought was a 14 day trial to actually use the product. I diligently marked the date that I received the product on my calendar to remind me to call Avesil 14 days later to cancel if I didn’t see any signs of weight loss. 14 days later, I called Avesil to cancel since I lost not even 1 pound during the 14 days.
I was told I was outside of my 14 day trial period eventhough I was calling within 14 days of having received the product. Since I had to sign for the package, Avesil can always track to see when I received it. And, in any event, since the folks at Avesil are not magicians, they can be 100% sure that I did not receive the product the same day they processed my order as that would not have allowed for shipping/transit time. So, at the very least, they should know that it makes NO SENSE to calculate the 14 day trial from order process date since that doesn’t really give consumers 14 days to try the product, now does it?
They refused to refund my $89.95. I am disputing with my credit card company and am also initiating complaints with the BBB and the Consumer Affairs Bureau. So, fellow consumers, BE WARNED!

I was excited to try Avesil – I just need to drop 15 pounds and excercise wasn’t working. I started the pills on the afternoon my shipment came. The next morning, I took two more pills, and started feeling very sick about 30 minutes later. I thought if I ate something, it might quell the nausia. Okay, about Avesil. Here’s the deal with me.
I ordered the free trial to give it a ry. I figured with the cancellation policy the most I could loose would be $5.
I placed the order on 5/14.
I got the product on 5/20…yes, already 6 days into my trial. So I figured, since they want to play that game, I wouldn’t give them a chance to trap me. So I began the cancellation process almost immediately. I wanted to make sure I gave myself time to get the RMA# and send it back.
I used the online method to get my RMA#. I know those 1-800 numbers are iffy, so I went straight to the website. I am suprised no one has mentioned the online method of cancellation. It is simple and easy. The instructions were in my package.
I got the RMA# on 5/24 online and also via email. I compared the #s to make sure they were the same (just in case). The instructions also said to make sure the # is clearly marked on the outside of the package when you send it back, so I used a Sharpie.
I sent the package priority overnight on 5/25. I opted to use FedEx instead of USPS to ensure tracking and faster delivery. I figured the money I’d pay for faster reliable shipping was worth it compared to what I’d pay if i got trapped in this membership.
I got an email on 5/26 saying they had cancelled my subscription and I would no longer be billed.
So that’s my experience. I think you just have to read and follow instuctions carefully. I also believe that more than just trapping you in a membership, they probably send a “less effective” batch of pills on the trial. If anyone has actually stuck around to try another bottle, I bet those pills are more potent and effective.
I have last about 2lbs so far (with no diet or exercise). I think if I add a better diet and some exercise I can get that # up. [Did I mention I emptied the bottle before I sent it back
] For the most part, I can tell it speeds up my metabolism because I am pretty “regular”, if you know what I mean. I do have a lot more energy but the pills do warn NOT to take them close to your bed time because of the caffine. You have to read.

I received my package via USPS which does not offer tracking capabilities. Therefore, I understood how Avesil wouldn’t be able to know when I actually received it. So my trial did start the day I ordered it on 5/14.
However, and this goes back to reading and paying attention, I received a confirmation email the day I ordered it that had my TRIAL EXPIRATION DATE on it. So I knew when it was even before I got the pills.
THEN when I got them, that same date was on the packaging. I don’t know about anyone else, but they made it easy for me to keep up with my time line to cancel.

Its true that they start the trial from the day you order it, however they in no way tried to scam me. They told me on the phone it started right away and that I can empty the bottle and send it back the day I recieved it in the mail. So I got my full refund and the entire bottle for free.
I have noticed an extreme reduction in my appetite and have lost 6 pounds in the 2 weeks I have been taking them. I have been working out 4 times a week and eating around 1200 calories a day. Total marketing scam. If you do not cancel within 15 days of trial period you will be sent a $90 bottle that YOU CANNOT RETURN FOR A REFUND! EVEN IF UN-OPENED! I am making it a point to tell others to not waste your $, if you need something you are probably better off getting something over the counter, than pay $89.85 price because I personally know they have set up that site to not allow you to cancel. Avesil is the worst product. It did not work at all. All the pills did was make me constipated and restless. They also have the WORST customer service. Ok I have been on the product for about a month and just cancelled my order because it does not work as well as they claim. I ordered the trail size and before I knew it they were sending me more. I tried this stuff and all it did was make me feel bloated.
I tried to cancel on the net and it is a wastes of time. I tried to call and you no one will answer the phone. After 3 or 4 calls wait 5-8 minutes to talk to some one. I thought that I was canceled. On my next bill they still billed me. I called them back and they said I canceled the next month.

I have had great results with Avesil, and I’ve tried a lot of similar products over the years. I do agree that they don’t give you enough time with the free trial offer to actually try the product, but the pills themselves work well for me. They definitely curb my appetite and give me energy. They don’t make me jittery, and as long as I follow the directions, I have no problems sleeping at night. I’ve lost 15 pounds so far, but then I am also eating healthy and not just depending on the pills to do it all for me. I love Avesil and have no need to try anything else. May 16, 2011 – - I don’t know what dates these reviews were written, but I just returned my Avesil and it was extremely easy. I went online to cancel the auto membership and sent the bottle back via priority mail. When they received it, they e-mailed me and said that they received the package and would not be charging my credit card. Very professional and couldn’t be easier. Trust me – - I got caught up in one of those deals where it’s impossible to cancel and I had to dispute my credit card. Thankfully, that was not the case wit Avesil.

5/29/11- I order the trial and read the fine print AFTER. Stupid! I tried the pills for a couple days (no problem, felt good and less hungry). I read some online reviews and decided to go ahead and cancel early while I could. Did it online and it couldn’t have been any easier. Once I canceled my account they gave me the return # and said get it (empty bottle) returned within 3 weeks. SO I thought that was pretty reasonable.

Started taking the product approx 1 week ago. I have lost about 6 lbs. I am doing a combination diet of Avesil as well as using Right size smoothies as a meal replacement. I go to the gym 3-5 times a week and do atleast one full hr of cardio, and then lift weights maybe 2-3 times a week. I am happy with my results so far. I plan on losing approx 40 lbs, and will modify this combination to keep it off.
I did not have any problems with customer service and I have not havd any side effects to this pill. Energy is increases and I plan to continue use until I lose 40 lbs.
You can not just take the pill and sit on your but and continue to eat, be lazy and expect change. You still have to lower your intake and get up and move your body!

I have no idea what everyone above is talking about!!!! I think the problem is that some of you people don’t read what you’re signing up for. I tried Avesil. (I read the terms and conditions.) I called to cancel on my trial date, which was fine they even let me keep the pills, (just returned the bottle empty) and I wasn’t charged anything but the 3.95 for shipping. so far I’ve lost 10lbs on 1 month!!! only thing I did was change from eating burgers and fries, to salad and wraps and I took Avesil. I have been on Avesil now for 2 months. I ordered the trail one at first stopped before the 14 days were up had no problem at all with stopping them from charging my account. I then tried a differnt diet pill and relized Avesil worked the best for me called them back up order more and now been on them for 2 month and have lost 21 pounds in 2 months. I am not a active person due to me being allergic to sweating…. Do NOT order Avesil. The product does not work. They charge you 14 days after you AGREE to the trial, not when you get the actual product. Then they charge you again just two wks later for the second bottle. When you go to cancel, they say your account has been canceled but then charge you $95+ the next month. 14 Days is not enough to try a diet product at all.
The fact that they enroll you in auto ship is just down right bad business practice (well not for them because they get your money so I guess that is how they make a profit).
Then when you cancel you can’t return any product to them so one way or another they will get your $95 for the second bottle as well as the $89 for the first bottle.

I ordered my “free trial” 2 days ago, and I actually got it today. So, I can’t complain there. Also, like most other people on here, I didn’t bother reading the terms and conditions, and found out about their autoship/autocharge deal AFTER I’d already ordered it. I went ahead and canceled it then and there, and am honestly surprised they sent my trial at all. I already have the RMA number, so on Monday (01/23/12) I am going to mail it back to them…after I dump the pills out and write down the instructions for taking them.
