Appetrex Control is manufactured by GNC, perhaps today’s most trusted dietary supplement manufacturer, and is designed to control appetite, boost metabolism, and increase energy levels. These are the three most important factors in stimulating weight loss and Appetrex Control seems to do a moderate job at producing desired results.

The main ingredient in Appetrex Control is a proprietary herbal blend that contains black and green tea leaves extract, as well as coffee bean extract.  Green tea leaves extract is one of the best weight loss ingredients in today’s market. According to Appetrex Control’s label, we’re not entirely sure how much green tea extract is in the herbal blend, thus we aren’t able to completely determine how much of an effect Appetrex will have on weight loss. Coffee bean extract obviously contains caffeine which will provide the energy boosts to help you get a good workout.  Appetrex Control also contains your daily value of some vitamins (Riboflavin, Thiamin, Niacin, Vitamin B-6 and Chromium) and other extracts that will aid in energy boosts, appetite suppression, and metabolism boosting.

Does Appetrex Control Work?

There was a clinical study performed on 30 human subjects. Half of the subjects took Appetrex Control for one week, took a week off, and then took a placebo for a week. The other half did the same thing, just in reverse order (placebo the first week). The study found that when subjects took Appetrex Control, they consumed 10% less calories during the day than when they took the placebo. (i.e. if you were on a 2000 calorie diet, on Appetrex you would only intake about 1800 calories). Those are fairly significant results proving that it is effective as an appetite suppressant. However, the study did not report significant findings in weight loss or energy boosts, so those two aspects have not been clinically proven.

From this study, we learn that Appetrex Control does what it says it will, but we also learn that it hasn’t been proven to have a dramatic effect on weight loss.

There was a big mixture of customer reviews, some being very positive and others extremely negative. This usually indicates a mediocre product.

GNC is reputable for producing safe dietary supplements, and Appetrex Control is no different. It is recommended that you consult a physician before taking if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or under the age of 18 (almost all weight loss pills will have this warning).

Is Appetrex Control Worth Trying?

Appetrex Control is $39.95 and produces mediocre results. Therefore you have a middle of the line product for a middle of the line price. That is a fair price for this product, but if you are serious about losing some significant pounds, I’d recommend spending a few more dollars and getting a better product. However, if you do purchase Appetrex Control, it could help you decrease your caloric intake a knock off a few pounds for a decent price.
